Three separate trials

1. Theme: compare the same answer

New reports use Fluent 2; existing pages retain their size when switching the base theme. Visual-defaults guidance.

Capture a sanitized baseline with a dense matrix, long labels and a slicer. Apply the theme to a copy and compare identical filters. Check clipping, meaningful color differences and keyboard focus. Ask a consumer to find the same answer before changing a shared template.

2. Refresh: distinguish data from schema

Do not extend another feature's GA status to PBIP or Direct Lake calculated columns. Retain the baseline until business checks pass and the owner approves wider adoption.
